CVEC Fiber is a company with a clear mission and purpose - Improve Life, Serve Community. So, when Seminole State College, a staple in the Seminole community, reached out with a need, CVEC Fiber knew we had to answer the call.

Seminole State College was in the process of upgrading its emergency alert system across its campus to provide on-demand emergency communications to everyone on campus. But they had one problem - they needed a utility pole installed to mount the system, and another electric provider was less than willing to assist in the college's time of need. A simple call to CVEC Fiber resulted in a coordinated effort by Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative to serve the needs of Seminole State College and the community of Seminole.

Kelsey Scott, CVEC Fiber marketing representative, says, "This truly is our mission in action. Yes, we are a fiber company, and we are building a great network to provide Internet and communications services to our customers. However, it is the focus on our mission and the fact we are a locally-involved, community-focused organization created to serve our neighbors that really sets us apart from other providers. Our communities support us, and we feel honored to support them."
